Onessimo Fine Art in Palm Beach Gardens has some rare Picasso linocuts and an aquatint. If you have some spare cash lying around? Have a look. I expect the price tag will be significantly higher than the cost of any car I have ever owned but, personally, I would rather have any of these than any of the cars I have ever owned. For one, these probably drive more reliably.
All of these works are signed, numbered editions of 50. The Aquatint,Visiteur divins a l'Ateilier, was done in 1955, while Nature Morte a la Bouteille and Carnaval were produced in 1962 and 1965 respectively. If you have the money, these are likely good investments. I haven't looked into the ups and downs of the Picasso market but, over time, I suspect any of his art will become more, rather than less valuable. He was prolific but these are not sketches he made on a napkin (I have seen those for sale!) We spoke to Jeremy Hu of Asymmetrik Photography at Art Chicago. He recently sent out a note about an article in Vanity Fair on some fabulous photographs by Cyril Christo and Marie Wilkinson. You can read the article HERE. You can see even more photos from the duo HERE.
You can find out about owning these works. I am amazed by looking at these photos online and I can only imagine their beauty in person. Asymmetrik Photography is an online broker of fine photography. Keep an eye open for them at Art Shows. Onessimo Gallery in West Palm Beach, Florida are now offering a selection of the “ethereal” landscapes of Juan Aquino for sale. I have a personal soft spot for the style. I do not know much about Mr. Aquino, excepting that he is from Peru. Interestingly he has a Bachelors degree in psychology and worked as a psychologist for the Employment Ministry for eight years. He then studied drawing at the Nationals School of Fine Arts in Lima. He also has a Bachelors in Visual Arts from the University of Quebec.
Aquino has worked as a decorative artists and had solo shows in Canada and Latin America. |
